We are a friendly, enthusiastic choir of around 50-80 voices and always delighted to have new members.
Rehearsals are led by our Music Director Peter Parshall and are both enjoyable and interesting. They include help understanding musical notation, as well as the texts of the music we're singing (especially those in languages other than English). We also help with the basics of how to sing well and how to make the most of the voice that you have.
No audition
We meet in the Minster Church, Axminster on Tuesday evenings between 7:30pm and 9:30pm.
Some of us do not sight-read music, so please don't be put off if you fall into this category!
You are welcome to come for a couple of rehearsals, or just to sit and listen, before deciding whether to become a member.
Scores are provided. You do not need to be able to sight read music.
