Vivaldi Gloria &CPE Bach Magnificat sure to delight audience!

Axminster and District Choral Society will present a joyful spring concert on Saturday, March 28th, 2026 at 7:30pm at The Minster, Axminster. The programme features Vivaldi's brilliant Gloria and the Magnificat by CPE Bach, the most talented son of the more famous JS Bach. The choir will be joined by professional orchestral players and soloists: soprano Harriet Mountford, mezzo-soprano Charlotte Badham, tenor Sam Dressel and baritone Julian Rippon.

Fresh from celebrating their fortieth anniversary, Axminster and District Choral Society continues to bring exceptional choral music to East Devon audiences. This spring concert showcases baroque energy at its best, with two magnificent works that combine virtuosity and depth. It promises to be an exciting programme.

The choir's 2026 season continues with an exciting summer programme including Charles Stanford's Songs of the Fleet. In December, they will present music by the French baroque composer Marc-Antoine Charpentier.
